I often walk by Emma Cons Gardens on my way to Waterloo Bridge or Jubilee Bridge. I never walk through it as I don't feel comfortable.

• It feels noisy or stressful

• It feels unloved

• The quality of design

• Not enough seating

• It feels unsafe

Is there anything else you like?

I like its potential to be amazing due to its strategic location and possibilities of being more closely linked to the Old Vic and the businesses on Mercury House, eg Wahacca (or any other future business) can have a nice shop front overlooking the gardens with tables outside if the design is improved.

What do you like about Emma Cons Gardens now?

• The trees and greenery

• The coffee & flower stalls

• Its openness and flexibility

It is just characterless and infront of one of the great theatres of London - it seems a shame. It has no connection to the community or the theatre. It does not make you think or be enriched or encourage mingling. The roads are too busy around it to relax. There could be great planting and interesting relevant sculptures and seating - plus open curved spaces for stalls or events

No I would use it more but it has no identity and doesn’t seem welcoming or friendly. I’d like to know more about Emma Cons too - even in this info you say nothing about her

I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t really feel used or appreciated. I think most people just walk straight through.
