What could we improve?

1/2

Now is your opportunity to tell us your ideas about what Emma Cons Gardens could be like in the future. Whether you have small practical suggestions, or a big idea, we would love to hear what you think!

Public spaces are used in lots of different ways, and the redesign will need to strike a balance between different uses. The map and images below show some local public spaces of a comparable size:

The area of Emma Cons Gardens is about 1,000sqm (or 2,500sqm if you include all the roads and pavements up to the nearest buildings). Sloane Square is twice as large, and Parliament Square is four times as large! These public spaces nearby are a comparable size:

1. Theatre Square,
National Theatre – 2,500sqm

2. Riverside Square,
Tate Modern – 4,000sqm

3. Concert Hall Approach,
Royal Festival Hall – 2,500sqm

4. Flat Iron Square,
Union Street – 1,500sqm

These images and locations have been shown to help you think about what Emma Cons Gardens could become in the future. In the following questions we would like you to tell us your thoughts and ideas!

Our design team will have to be realistic, but we also want them to “think big”...
